Jssor Slider: a jQuery powered gallery

Students at Arcada have a constant need for good plugins and code. One of the recurring demands is for excellent photo galleries and sliders. Today I found jssor, a “jquery image slider / slideshow”.

I am noting it here so I don’t forget it, and because it did a lot of things and I and a student were able to install and use it in a prototype site in less than five minutes. It took less than an additional five minutes to get it acting responsively.

Is it the best slider software in the world? I don’t know, and nor, probably, do you. It is pretty damn good though in several major ways. Not only does it work well, it is very easy to unpick the example files and repurpose them.
