Sandholmsudden, 11:40
Everyone slept in, and it was 11:30 before we got to the market. Now, here we are. Either the crowds have gone or it was not crowded today. Irma is buying fishcakes and bread.
In the afternoon we will do one load of washing. Irma will cut some old sheets and clothes into strips and we will take them to Marita, who uses them to do rag-weaving. We will stop at Benita’s for a drink and, since we are her only customers, she will join us. We will chat for half an hour until more customers arrive.
It will look like thunder but it will clear up later. For dinner we will have Marita’s cabbage rolls, which I love. Sitting in the kitchen afterward for most of the evening it will seem very autumnal, as we listen to the wind howling outside.
Sunshine seems to enjoy it here as much as we do, but he will be happy to come in when the wind starts.
