We arrived at Pellinki about 19:00 yesterday. It was not warm, but it was not cold either.

Today is the first summer market and it is quiet because most of the holiday makers are not here yet. We wander around saying hello to people we have not seen since last autumn. Lakku is there, and Ville and Margit. We are loading up with fish, the basket is heavy, the sun is out and the weather is rapidly getting more than warm.

In the afternoon I will paint the open kitchen that Svante is building for us in the traditional rust colour. After this I will plant a bush and dig and pull up as many bamboo shoots as I can see.
