Today we went to visit Kari and Leena in Tolkkinen, to see their new son Chen, whom we met briefly the other weekend when we were on our way to Berlin. His sister Veena entertained us too.

Kari and Leena are both very nice, and it was the first time that I had visited them at home. Irma (who first knew Leena from her work) has been there before.

Now we are leaving. The area is fantastically rural without being miles from anywhere. Auo has just remarked how their house feels like a house and a summer-house at the same time.

We will get home and shower in preparation for a return to work tomorrow. I will realise that yesterday’s walk has left me with an incipient head cold.
