Ospedale, 8:08

Irma felt increasingly unwell during the night and eventually, about 5:00, we called the emergency number, which resulted in an ambulance arriving.
Not just any ambulance: a water ambulance in the form of a very fast and very well equipped covered speedboat with flashing lights and siren.
I waited in a room empty except for a wall of vending machines. A doctor saw Irma, and she got a prescription.
Now, as dawn appears, we have left Ospedale civile SS. Giovanni e Paulo hospital and stand by the shore waiting for a ferry. I photograph the sea and the first sun streaks.
In ten minutes we will travel 3 stops to Murano on the 4.1 vaporetto.
