We have come to Jonna’s opening. We last saw her work on display two years ago at a group show at the Helsinki Cathedral Crypt.

Johanna Ilvessalo, to give her her full name, works a lot with mirrored surfaces, water, and small objects. Tonight we look at two large works involving flowing water, mirrors and casts of small shoes and chairs.

We also see this work called Today, someone got wings which features mirrors reflecting the divisions of a treated photographic image.

Shanti likes the opening because a lot of people make a fuss of her; patting and rubbing and stroking. She has also taken to walking round the centre and has adopted a special walk for this.
