Irma has rented a Toyota Yaris Cross for two days, and at midday we pick up Anders and Leo, and then Naa. The five-seater turns out to seat four comfortably and five if you hope to get cramp. Shanti sits in the back.

We head for Pellinki and take an island tour, taking in Sundö, Terttu’s Galleria Marina, a picnic at the village hall, various sights, and finishing at Benita’s where we have fish and chips.

Peter Kellgren announced yesterday that he would no longer attend the market and so, for the first time I can remember, the midweek market has no fish at all.

We return to Sundö, Shanti stays in Naa’s old room, and Johan takes the humans on a two hour tour of the islands. By special request we spend a long time off Klovaharun, imagining what Tove Jansson used to get up to.

We get back to Helsinki and everyone, dog included, falls into a deep sleep as soon as they can.
