We have come 110 kilometres to spend a happy afternoon with Irma’s friend Leena. Kari has gone to Spain with their son Shen but Venla greets us with

Leena when we arrive, having got lost for less than five minutes in the final stretch of little lanes leading into other little lanes.

Leena makes a delicious lunch with vegetables and fruits from their garden. Shanti takes little to no notice of her two little dogs, Lady and Kira.

The two dogs seem very happy with the lack of attention.

As we prepare to leave I photograph a distinctive tree standing alone in a cornfield.
