Today Finland celebrates Ascension Day by, as every year, having a common holiday. Since this happens on a Thursday this year that means that everyone who can will see this as the start of a four day break.

We start our break with some gardening and furniture shopping.

In the late afternoon we go on a long walk and Shanti gets to meet some of her friends. I photograph her playing with Andy. He always stands up on her back to play with her.

The game often involves him standing on her back till she manages to shake him loose, then the next round starts.
Late in the evening we will watch the second (and underwhelming) semi-final of Eurovision.
