Rohdinkuja, 10:40

Today, all over Finland people celebrate Mother’s Day. For most families it acts as a very important event. For us, inevitably, it carries sadness within it.
I go out to find some specific wild flowers (valkonen vuokra, I think) to go with the present and card I have for Irma, since Auo can no longer do this for herself.
The present came from Murano: a set of glass ear-rings like blackcurrants. The card came from Banksy.
As I head into the woods I see a red flower growing alone outside Nanu’s house. One used to grow just inside the woods. Now it has moved here.
Later Naa will come and we will eat and reminisce.
