Sarovaram, 12:12
Sanu has gone to a pooja at his small local temple because hi son will start nursery soon. The pooja forms part of a 3 day festival, so he cannot accept bookings today (or tomorrow or the day after).
His friend, whose name I never found out, took Rosie and I to Petcity to get her properly checked up before I leave her in fifteen days time. She had never travelled in a car before and she had never visited Petcity. I had no idea how it would work out.
She decided to accept everything. She had her temperature taken; a blood test; and she had her nails cut and filed. She had a vaccination, whose precise purpose escaped me and she got 5 days of tablets for the only flaw in her tests: high white blood cell count was very slightly high.
I had woken up in the middle of last night saying “towels!” out loud to myself. Fortunately I knoew what I meant, and how lucky that my sleeping head thought that. On the return journey Rosie was suddenly sick, mostly into one of the towels I had with me. Ten minutes later she vomited copiously into the other towel.
By that point the car-sick dog had almost arrived home.
When we get home, and I have shaken, rinsed, and washed the towels, I photograph the Dog Vaccination and Health record, and send the details to Irma.
At 16:00 we will both walk to Chad and Sally’s to swap books and stories. Then we will both walk back.
Tonight Rosie will sleep all night.
