Irma has rented a scooter and taken to driving around the small roads that lead from the beach, over the rail tracks, and into the less touristy, less crowded areas. Today, though, we rent a car and driver and drive to Galle.

We get out of the car in Hospital Street, where the police barracks stand, and Irma looks in some shops where we found interesting things on our first trip here last year.

I wander down Hospital Street and take some photographs of old buildings.
