The hectic campaigning for the local body elections in the Thiruvananthapuram district concluded on Sunday evening with candidates, leaders and workers of the three major political fronts coming together at various parts of the city and rural centres for a ‘Kottikalasam’, the loud, celebratory culmination of the campaigning.

The district will go to the polls on December 9, along with five other districts in southern and central Kerala. On Monday, the party workers and candidates will be involved in a round of silent campaigning, to make one last earnest pitch to the voters.
