I spent the morning finalising, debugging, and then simplifying the Scratch version of Snake that I built earlier in the week with some assistance from Claude.ai – and I will write about the process of “cooperation” sometime soon. It has left me (even) more sceptical than previously.

I spoke with Olya about my interview with the FRRO, and she suggested we should meet and talk about it. I agreed and now I have arrived at Leo restaurant for some onion pakora, lassi, and chat.

While I wait I notice an official boat of some kind stationary in the distance off the beach. I discover that if I rest my elbows on the table I can simulate a steady-enough tripod to enable me to take a reasonably stable image almost at the edge of the phone’s capabilities.

Olya arrives. We add a vegetable roll to the order and talk. This will prove useful, since she has registered with the FRRO recently and has some template documents I might find useful in preparing my own registration.

She also tells me that the dog that attacked Shanti on the beach last summer attacked a Russian woman on the beach not long ago. The woman got rushed to hospital, the police rushed to the beach, and the dog got put down.

The police also gathered a random group of other dogs and took them away. I had a momentary feeling that the dog called Pearl might have gone with them.
