This morning I tried to download GPay onto my new phone, couldn’t find it, and downloaded PayTM instead. After a few minutes huffing and puffing I sent 10 rupees to Irma who sent the same back to me, and we decided that I had it working.

Irma has things she wants to do and so I decide to walk to the beach to see if I can spot any changes.

On the way I stop at Mani’s to have 2 samosas and to prove that PayTM works in the wild in real situations. I also stop for a mango lassi at Leo restaurant just to double check.

I sit there, as the only customer, and notice that the beach seems completely deserted, except for one dog in the distance and a surfer stretching his legs nearby.

The little round man tells me that Hari returns to Kovalam next month.
