I ordered a book from the library last week, Alan Moore’s The Great When, and went to collect it once I had finished this morning’s weeding.
I looked at the MadCorridors exhibition, which I noticed came from the MadEnCounters project.
I especially liked the Bystander Anthology, 2020 piece from the Kadak Collective, whose sign says ”The anthology, led by the Kadak Collective, is a collection of comic and graphic narratives for print and web centered around questions of race, caste, displacement, climate change, consent and sexual violence, the question of taking action along with the inability to do so.
Kadak Collective brings together a group of South Asian creators from all across the world in this anthology. Artists featured in the display are: Aarthi Parthasarathy & Shreyas R Krishnan, Aleesha Nandhra, Aravani Art Project, Upasana Agarwal & Nandini Moitra, Aziza, Baljinder Kaur, Divya Kandukuri & Shrujana Shridhar, Sabba Khan, Gopika Bashi & Kaveri Gopalakrishnan, Mrigaja Bajracharya, Xinaneo”.
I cycle home to join the expedition to get Shanti from Camilla and bring her home.
