Entrance hall, 16:00

Last night, while we froze by the sea, Shanti stayed with Camilla, a local teenage dogminder who visited us a couple of weeks ago to discuss looking after Shanti during the winter. We collected her a couple of hours ago and she seemed to have had a very good time.
This bodes well.
Now I notice Shanti’s ball in the entrance hall casting its shadow in the rapidly darkening light. Rain has begun, and will increase as the light fades. Autumn has arrived a month early.
The weather has lost its bearings.
