Irma started work again today and left the house for a meeting. When she returned in the afternoon I cycled to the library to return one book by Miriam Toews (pronounced Taives) and get out another one. I also returned a European road atlas and a map of Italy.

On the way to the library I noticed a crane and digger attacking a big old house in Vartiokyläntie and on the way back I stop to photograph the digger in action.

In the evening we will take Shanti for a long walk just missing the thunder and the huge rain that follows.

The heatwave has officially ended.
