Just before I left for India I went to Specsavers to have my eyes tested. I ended up with not one but two pairs of glasses. Today I started wearing them in earnest.
This pair constitute my all-day glasses and let me see from here all the way to there. When I first tested them I felt very surprised by how used to seeing a blurred background in the distance I had become.
Now I can read number plates at 20 metres and so on.
The other glasses, the ones I have on to type this, count as reading glasses, and enable me to see books and screens up to 1 metre away without difficulty and without any eye strain.
I feel fully optical again.
