On a short walk from the hotel down to Richmond Park, we see two street ironists and then these two men sitting and working away with their sewing machine.

The ironists both seem to have gas–powered irons. Certainly they have big cylinders of Calor Gas by their feet, seemingly attached by hosepipe to their irons.

I might go back later, if I have time, to see how these actually work.

Sahan came to visit us at Casa Cottage, and explained how the gas-powered irons work. They have miniature cooking-ring style fires inside the iron.

He said that he had never seen them at all until he moved to Bangalore a couple of years ago.
