The other day we went for a walk out of the back gate and right towards the little pond. Today we did the same. I had left it until the sun had cooled (and the rain had stopped) and I had no timetable for this.

Shanti meandered backwards and forwards. I occasionally grabbed her when motorbikes or rickshaws came down the road. She does not seemed to have developed any ability to recognise these as dangerous. She applies this same approach to other dogs. She just ignores them and carries on with what she wants to do until they stop barking at her.

While this strategy (mostly) works with dogs, I feel she needs to develop a different approach to oncoming traffic.

We get to the little pond where I photograph the water lilies and the pond scum that surrounds them.
