I raced back from Subash Centre to meet Sanu and drive to Petcity with Shanti. Forty eight hours have passed since her strong antibiotic injection and now she will have the second half of the course.

The main road seems quiet and I photograph various vehicles as they draw alongside us until I manage to get this rickshaw in focus with its shadow almost intact.

Petcity also seems much quieter than usual although it still takes a long time because Shanti needs fluid and it takes seventy minutes to drip enough into her. Then she gets her “painful injection” which appears to bother her even less than last time.

I leave with more tablets and an instruction to come back in ten days for a checkup, when all the tablets have gone.
