Lighthouse Beach, 17:34
The weather today feels completely enervating. Both Man+Dog woke up at regular intervals, sweating or thirsty or both. Eventually we got up at 7:45 and I walked around opening all the doors to encourage whatever breeze might pass by to come through the house.
When I opened the door to the upstairs balcony I found flowerpots all over the floor. I felt completely puzzled. We had heard no storm and no winds. You cannot reach the balcony by climbing. We have never seen monkeys in the area, and none of the birds have any reason to rearrange the plants.
I photographed the mess and sent the pictures to Irma to ask for horticultural advice.
Later, after a lengthy power cut, that began at 13:08 and ended at 16:52, we decided to walk to the beach, no leads involved. We made a rapid pace, got the curd and bananas I needed, and paused to look at the beach.
We watched a beach dog sitting a safe distance away. I decided we should leave before I regretted not bringing my stick.
