It rained most of the day. More precisely it began to thunder and then a monsoon-like rain fell from the sky for an hour. This gradually lightened until it seemed no more than heavy rain.

We then had a series of power cuts that lasted from about midday to bedtime. Fifteen minutes of no power, followed by five or ten minutes of electricity. Charging anything, or indeed writing anything proved impossible.

I took a photograph of a decoration that hangs in the workroom during one of the periods in which I had light t do so. I also realised that I have a streaming cold due to the fact that I left the air conditioning on the first night.

My nose will not stop running and I have a head-cold-like blurriness in my head. I have done this before: travelled here where the temperature varies between 30 and 34 degrees and caught a bad cold.
