Hooker’s Road, London E17, 14:38

I have come to Sophie’s studio to plan the next year of Miaaw podcasts. I have travelled for an hour across London, although the journey felt very easy. I got a tube to Victoria, changed to the Victoria line and then got out at Blackhorse Road and walked for ten minutes.

Her studio occupies a boxed off corner in a large coworking space called Yonder. What distinguishes this space from other coworking spaces? It has a huge indoor climbing area from which it derives half its income.

We sit in a meeting room that Sophie has booked to record an interview with John Phillips for his Museum of Unrest project. I look out of the window and photograph some of the gymnastics going on behind me.

For the rest of the afternoon I will keep getting distracted by a variety of people, including a gang of small chicren, climbing the walls and falling off onto the inflated cushions that make up the floor.

In between all this we will get a lot of planning done.
