Wordle 1000

Today I reached 1000 goes at Wordle, which I tend to do in the mornings as a wake-up exercise. I have a success rate of 99%, and my score looks like this.

Most of the failures occurred early on when I had not yet got to grips with the fact that it utilises American spellings which render color, for example, as a five letter word.

I also had to spend some time working out the perfect starting word. For those who care, I use two starting words in sequence, aiming to get enough useful letters to make a likely guess in my third turn.

My two starting words are audio and rhyme in that order. I might, in some cases, use thyme as the second word.
