KS Road, 18:35

I sit in a rickshaw on my way home from a DGD session at Vavvamoola where the Airtel dongle refused to give out any wifi, but everyone could work and play using my Jio hotspot.
We have just dropped Simi off at her sister’s house near the bottom of KS Road. We turn around and head back down to the junction. The decorations for the temple festival provide a brightly coloured arch over the street. It extends for hundreds of metres.
Simi tells me that the festival will begin next Thursday. They will have put the loudspeakers in position by then.
As we bump down the pothole-filled road I take a photograph. Awful mess or stylistic triumph? It’s coin-tossing time.
