We have come to Lighthouse Beach to eat and we have stopped at The Village to see who we can see. I wave to Hari who has things to do at the back of the building while Irma chats to Christine and Antonella.

I photograph one of the pillars he had put in a year or two ago.

We will eat in The Swiss Café, which has become one of this year’s favourite restaurants. We have our usuals which, in my case, involve aloo gobi and dal fry with a nan followed by banana fritters, honey and ice cream.

The restaurant has other customers but still feels relaxed and uncrowded.
