Rajeev drives me to Kidsland this morning with the tablets. I will spend the morning observing, here and at Thorizchal.

The first thing I notice when I walk in: brightly coloured Christmas decorations have taken over the ceiling. The lines go diagonally across the large room, with the decorations packed as tightly as possible.

Stars hang down here and there. As Shashi Tharoor has pointed out, Hindu culture happily celebrates any festival going and incorporates it into its own belief system.
