Sarovaram, 10:20
This morning I woke up not to rain but to high winds. I got up and removed the bed of jackfruit leaves spread over the ground and then swept the yard to get rid of the smaller debris. A couple of hours later the ground had another carpet of giant leaves and I could see smaller bits of nature gusting around.
I went outside to do a second showing of my yard cleaning show. As I brushed along the neighbour’s wall this fell five metres or so onto my head. I confess I staggered a little, like a man in a comedy sketch.
As I brushed by the neighbour’s wall this fell five metres or so onto my head. I looked up and saw just how many full-sized coconuts hung there waiting for a slightly harder wind. If one of those had hit me I would have got considerably more damage than the small bump I have on my head at the moment.
I decided to leave the smaller leaves blowing around and went indoors to have a mug of Bournvita. I felt so dizzy that I decided to make it with 100% milk.
I also decided to buy a gardening helmet.
