Sarovaram, 8:20
I woke in the night to the sound of heavy rain again, but when I woke at 7:30 it had stopped. I went out to sweep the leaves from the garden.
The jackfruit tree has taken to shedding more leaves than it actually has, or so it feels. I get up and move all the big ones that have dropped in the night. I then go out again most days and repeat the process another once or twice.
These leaves are part of my first haul for today. They actually fell like this, carpeting a large area of the ground by the gate. I really like the range of colours that they make, changing from leaf to leaf, and as they age.
I look up at the tree. It still seems to have as many leaves as it had yesterday. The crow that lives in the tree sits there watching me.
I resign myself to doing this again later.
