I have come to visit the Maria Gardens Nursery to see how DGD works with the children here. As we arrive I photograph Ascension Church, in whose grounds the nursery stands.

All goes well. We arrive in bright sunshine and as we leave Simi points out that the sky has begun to cloud over. A few moments after I finally arrive home I hear thunder and the the sky opens and a couple of hours of non–stop monsoon–like rain ensues.

The road floods within a few minutes and the men cutting down trees opposite carry on as though nothing had happened.

In the evening we will go to Trivandrum again to see Asha the Dermatologist, this time professionally as paying customers.
