We sit in Sanu’s new car speeding down the highway on the way to Lulu Mall. The rain pours down. I take a photograph as traffic speeds past, and we speed past traffic.

In India people drive in whichever lane they feel like, at whatever speed they feel like. Many people, including Sanu, deal with this by weaving between lanes as the need arises. When a lot of people do this at once (which they do) I feel happy sitting in the back seat.

I have that feeling right now.
