Last Sunday at Getta’s party, we met Sohan Lal, Kerala film–maker and writer, for the first time in a year. He invited us to his salsa party today to celebrate Duwali and so here we sit. Many of the people from Geeta’s arrive: Asha, her friends, and Geeta and Göran themselves.

Sohan’s friend has an international reputation as a salsa expert, and teacher, or so people tell us. He leads some people in a “do like I do” session with somewhat variable results. I sit and chat with Göran while this goes on.

I find a picture that I took of Sohan on Sunday and he says “use that!” when I ask to take one now.

So I do.
