I have come to observe another DGD session at Maria Gardens nursery, attached to Ascension Church.

I take a picture of one wall of the nursery. The children learn English and Malayalam and while I watch Ali, Lekshmi and Simi in action I can hear an English lesson taking place at the other end of the large room.

I can hear the teacher shouting “inkpot” repeatedly, and the children shout it back in a call and response that sounds madder and madder the longer it goes on.
