I get off the bus at the gas station and cross the road to walk home. Autumn has clearly set in in an non-negotiable way. I have a hooder and a jacket on.

I walk down Linnanherrantie and spot a single bright red leaf. I photograph it in case anyone ever requires proof of my sighting.

In the afternoon we will journey to the National Archive again, to complete the cataloguing work that Irma has done. The rain will pour down and we will finish the trip with ice-creams at Chjoko.

Later in the evening I will start reading Anita Nair’s novel Ladies Coupé, which I bought at Trivandrum airport in Spring. I intended to read it on the flights home but ended up watching movies instead.
