Workroom, 16:16

We have finally got round to getting some work done that we intended to get done a decade or so ago.
When we first moved in the bedroom ceilings had a cover of hideous polystyrene tiles. I experimentally tried to remove them, and ended up making irregular holes in the tiles. In the end we just got used to the holes.
A few years ago we had to have the bedroom remade because of a flood and we got the ceiling there renewed properly. Now, finally, we will get the other two rooms done.
This afternoon I look up at the ceiling after the old tiles have gone away. Slowly, bit by bit, I find myself understanding how the house fits together. The construction methods differ radically from British construction methods, but I learn.
