Thozhichal, 11:22

Today will take a turn for the abnormal before we even get out of bed, and continue that way until we climb back into bed late at night.
It will include a funeral that nobody expected; the breakdown of our water pump; the arrival, days late, of a bag Irma ordered from The Postbox, and a birthday party at the Thozhichal anganwadi.
Mirsa arrives with her parents and a cake she should give out to the other children. She looks uncharacteristically angry and upset, but finally smiles as she shoves cake into my mouth
I photograph her as soon as I see her surroundings.
