We run DGD Junior sessions in three different anganwadi, and they all feel very different; and all operate very differently.

Right now 23 children at Kidsland sit on the floor on mats playing with Android tablets using Scratch Junior. Their ages range from 4 to 6 years and they have learned very quickly.

My role involves observing the sessions and talking with the team afterwards. It also involves other, less predictable tasks. Twenty minutes ago I got handed one of the two most recent arrivals, an eleven month old boy who has got to the stage where jumping up and down while someone holds him seems the best fun in the world.

Lekshmi has just taken him off me and I photograph the two of them. In a few minutes she will hand him back and return to guiding the older members of the class.
