The new wooden look at Itis has begun to appear from under all the building work. It looks as though it might look impressive when the new mall arises from within the old one.

The new mall will apparently contain an old fashioned market, like Hakaniemihalli, with fruit and vegetable stalls. Will this work? We don’t know, and I suppose that we will find out next Spring.

For the moment half of the shops in the mall have disappeared, or moved, or live behind building works.
