We have come to the mall to buy groceries. Ramachandrum, the supermarket in the (small) mall has a great dried fruit counter, a lot of fresh vegetables, and a stand where we can take a break from shopping and have samosas and chai.

As we enter the mall we realise that they have decided to embrace Halloween in their own eccentric manner. A section of the main passage has a shed standing in it, with cardboard gravestones surrounding it, an old English telephone box, and this figure standing in front of it.

I look at the tableau for some time. Witches and Zombies, I think: not that much difference if you look from a distance…
