Sanu has collected us from home and we have begun the long journey to Madurai, where we will stay in a hotel and see a temple.
Dawn arrives and we stop for a couple of minutes at the side of the road to photograph the mountains. Later we will stop for breakfast at what looks like a large hotel and turns out a small kiosk.
Undeterred I will have two delicious samosas and a cup of chai.
