Today I alternated between writing, talking and thinking. The monsoon-like downpour that lasted all night and well into the morning prevented me from going on an early walk.

Yesterday evening I had filled the joint in the gutter with an miracle filler from K-Rautta, and late this morning when the rain finally stopped I stood outside and watched the miracle filler fail to stop the joint leaking. Pitter patter fell the drops from the joint onto the terrace.

I got the ladder out, dried the gutter, and applied more Casco Marin & Teknik. The weather stayed dry so it should have hardened. The next time it rains I will race outside and check the dripping quotient.

Having finished all that, and spoken to Mark about his new recordings, I photographed an icon we have had for years on the kitchen wall.
