We have arrived at the Indian Embassy to join the Independence Day celebrations, along with a large number of others, many from the Indian diaspora.
We listen to the ambassador read out the addresses from the Prime Minister and the President.
The weather stays warm and dry and A Taste of India provide a buffet which, this year, does not include any samosa. Nonetheless it tastes excellent, and genuinely Indian.
