Sundö, 15:34

I have spent much of the day with a power saw in my hands, cutting down trees not large enough to require expert assistance. I find myself liking this with increasing gusto as the afternoon moves on.
I have borrowed Mika’s Stihl battery-operated saw because we did not have one here. It performed very impressively; even more so in retrospect when Mika told me that I had worked from a half-empty battery.
Next time I think we must bring one.
Now we sit in the kitchen at Sundö having cake and coffee. Summer 2 continues and the sun fills the room with bright, low light. My glass plate and cup make pleasing, hard-edged shadows, and sharp borders.
