This morning we drove to Pellinge for a lunch date with Eero and Elina Lahelma, who live down the end of a long road through the woods, that branches off from a long road through the woods. The silence there sounds wonderful.

We spend almost four hours with them at their summer house, which has spectacular views on all sides. I take a photograph of the view from the terrace where we have sat eating, drinking and talking for the last couple of hours.

I leave feeling completely exhilarated by the conversation, the environment, and the possibilities that the two have suggested.
