Sauna house, 10:33

Looking through some baskets in the sauna house I come across this bright pink cassette. It comes from an earlier era of Barbie mania.

I remember the girls playing this although I cannot remember much about what it sounds like, and I don’t think we have a cassette player any more.

I looked up Jerry Caglese (whose name appears on the label) and found that he and Cheryl Caglese appear in Discogs solely in connection with several Barbie cassettes published by Mattel at the end of the eighties. I then also discovered that their son Cole Marcus has perfect pitch, won NBC’s “America’s Most Talented Kid” at age four and became the youngest songwriter in history to sign with Broadcast Music, Inc.

Marcus loves music, acting, and sharing his testimony. “My passion lies solely on the fact that I want God to use me wherever I am,” he said. “I love music and eventually would like to be a pastor. Bottom line. I don’t care what I’m doing. I just want to put my 100 percent into it for God’s glory.”

And the cassette is the brightest pink I have ever seen.
