We raced back to Helsinki yesterday evening because we have a date today.

Irma’s niece Charlotta, and her younger son Valentino, come down from Tampere and we have said we will meet them at Linnanmäki, which we do.

Valentino has just finished his time in päiväkoti and will start pre-school in a couple of weeks. Today we will take him around the amusement park. From time to time I take photographs of the adult rides in action, trying to capture something almost impossible to capture in a still image.

I had never realised byt Linnanmäki has a policy of free entry and free rides for small children. The whole afternoon will cost us nothing except the price of the caramel popcorn that I buy and the ice creams that Irma buys.
