Temple Path, 12:24

The morning at the anganwadi over, and the sun less hot than on previous days, I decide to have a quick walk in search of bananas.

Before I buy them I walk past the kiosk to look at the handiwork of the Man with the Machete, who has now finished his job, having cleared all the weeds and fronds from the ditch for its whole length.

I photograph a stretch of the ditch knowing that plant life will start growing back within days and by the time we return in October it will look as though nobody ever even attempted to clear it.
