Stockmann, 11:52

I decide that I will walk to Easton to post a copy of my book to Mark. Irma reminds me that Stockmann has now closed its top floor and moved everything down into the first floor. I resolve to check this out.
I enter through the deli and head up to the ground floor. It looks more or less the same as usual. I then walk up to the allegedly closed second floor and find an extraordinary site. The whole floor has been stripped completely bare except for Roberts coffee which continues to operate as though nothing had changed. Old ladies sit in pairs chatting.
The upstairs entrance remains open too, and I photograph two bewildered shoppers who appear to have entered expecting to find a department store, not a paces housing conceptual art.
